WWE Universe Mode Rules
Each player will control ONE show. It will be either RAW, Smackdown Live, or NXT. By controlling your show, you will decide on the matches that take place on each week's episode as well as the matches on the monthly PPV events. You can either play the matches if you like, or you can let the CPU/AI play them out to see what happens. You can also have another player play matches with you if you like, and if that player agrees to do so. You will be in control of ALL aspects of your show!
Rules for the Initial Draft
1. Each player will get a total of 30 draft choices. These will include 24 singles competitors and 6 tag teams. Some tag teams come as stables which will give the player a bit larger of a roster. First come, first serve. (The minimum amount of wrestlers a player will have on their roster at the conclusion of the intitial draft is 36. There may be more if the player drafted any stables.)
2. Current Real Life WWE Champions can NOT be drafted! They will remain on the show(s) that they are currently on.
3. Tag Teams can NOT be broken up. Tag teams will be drafted after all singles competitors have been drafted.
4. Legends can be drafted AFTER each player has made their 30 draft choices. Each player can only draft THREE legends ONLY. Legends can only be used twice per month.
5. ANY wrestlers that are NOT selected during the initial draft will become 'Free Agents'. More mentioned about that below.
After the initial draft is complete, players may offer trades for wrestlers from other brands. However, they can only do THREE trades per player. Once trades are made, the game will begin with the first player that controls RAW beginning with their show. Shows go in this order; RAW on Mondays, NXT on Wednesdays, and Smackdown Live on Thursdays. PPV events take place on Fridays.
After quarterly PPV events (Royal Rumble, Summerslam, Money in the Bank and Survivor Series) each player may have a chance to 'steal' one wrestler from another player's roster. This is how this plays out;
1. The winners of the two Royal Rumble matches, whichever show that wrestler represents, gets to steal a wrestler from another roster.
2. The winner of the triple threat 'Champions Matches' at Night of Champions gets to steal a wrestler from another player's roster.
3. The winners of the three Money in the Bank Ladder matches gets to steal a wrestler from another player's roster.
4. The winning team of the Survivor Series 6 Man Tag Team Ladder Match gets to steal a wrestler from another player's roster.
5. The winner(s) of the special match(es) held at SummerSlam gets to steal a wrestler from another player's roster.
After the trade offers following each year's WrestleMania event takes place, there will be a 'shake up' of the rosters. Each player's rosters will have five wrestlers (3 singles competitors and 1 tag team) randomly selected and placed on another show. Once this 'shake up' is complete, that week's RAW, NXT, and Smackdown Live events will feature ONE Main Event match featuring wrestlers from each show in triple threat style matches. The winners of these matches will get a FREE 'random' draft pick from the show/roster of their choice. The selection is random. Once this week is complete, the game will continue as stated above.
Free Agents
Free Agents are wrestlers that were not selected during the initial draft. To keep rosters from getting TOO large during the game, there HAS to be Free Agents. The MAXIMUM any roster can have at one given time is a total of 60 wrestlers. If a roster goes over this amount, they HAVE to 'fire' or 'release' wrestlers to the Free Agents pool until their roster is back down to 60 or less wrestlers.
Players can select wrestlers from the Free Agents Pool once a month (After their PPV is finished) to add to their roster if they wish to do so. They can only select up to THREE wrestlers at a time, keeping in mind NOT to go over the total of 60 wrestlers for their roster.
At anytime a wrestler is fired or released from their roster, that wrestler MUST go to the Free Agents Pool. Another player is NOT permitted to take that wrestler from the Free Agents Pool until AFTER their monthly PPV event has taken place.
Players can fire or release wrestlers to the Free Agents Pool at anytime. Even if their roster is still less than 60 wrestlers. Perhaps you want to have a 'Loser is Fired' match. Go for it! The loser of the match will go to the Free Agents Pool!
Legends in the Free Agents Pool work a LITTLE different. If you wish to hire a legend from the Free Agents Pool to join your roster, you can only hire ONE legend and that is it for that month! So you are basically giving up three FA selections for ONE FA Legend selection. CHOOSE WISELY!
Trades
Trades can ONLY take place after the initial draft and after each year's WrestleMania event is finished. Each player can make up to THREE trade offers BEFORE the following week's shows take place. Once this is complete, players can then move on to the week after WrestleMania's shows.
Additional Rules can be added to this as long as all players agree on the new rule
