This forest is managed by Reforestalia, a company dedicated to the sustainable cultivation and rental of various tree species, including the Mexican ayacahuite pine, fir and Douglas fir. During the exciting day of volunteering, participants immersed themselves in a series of tasks designed to foster environmental awareness. The participants were divided into two groups: one was dedicated to planting young trees from a local nursery, while the other was in charge of reinserting Christmas trees previously used by Toks Restaurants and other individuals. These nutritionally treated trees were planted with the intention that they would remain in the forest permanently, with an astonishing 90% survival rate.
