This forest is managed by Reforestalia, a company dedicated to the sustainable cultivation and rental of various tree species, including the Mexican ayacahuite pine, fir and Douglas fir. Sustainable management of forest ecosystems is essential to preserve the biodiversity, productivity and vitality of these crucial environments. During the exciting day of volunteering, participants immersed themselves in a series of tasks designed to foster environmental awareness. From the moment they arrived, all guests participated in games and integration activities that highlighted the importance of their contribution to caring for the forests. In addition, this served to strengthen ties between people and foster a spirit of collaboration. The heart of the volunteer day focused on tree planting. The participants were divided into two groups: one was dedicated to planting young trees from a local nursery, while the other was in charge of reinserting Christmas trees previously used by Toks Restaurants and other individuals. These nutritionally treated trees were planted with the intention that they would remain in the forest permanently, with an astonishing 90% survival rate.
